Buchu (Loose Cut)

Agathosma betulina, the fynbos shrub that grows wild in the mountains of the Western Cape and almost nowhere else. The Khoisan have brewed it for centuries.

The leaf is loose cut rather than powdered, so it opens properly in hot water. Expect a sharp, green aroma with a hint of blackcurrant.

How to use

• Steep 1 teaspoon per cup in water just off the boil for 5 minutes, then strain.
• For a jug, brew, cool and refrigerate. Drink within two days.
• Store sealed and out of the light to keep the aroma.

Ingredients: 100% buchu leaf (Agathosma betulina), loose cut.
