Calamine Powder

To broaden the purpose and properties of the Earth Powder we’ve added Calamine. Calamine Powder is a mixture of Zinc Oxide and a small concentration of iron oxide. Calamine is known to nurture skin rashes, minor irritations and inflamed skin. Nourishing sunburn, eczema, poison ivy, chickenpox, insect bites and stings, this ingredient can bring special and specific aid to irritated skin.

Bentonite Clay

Bentonite clay is formed from ancient volcanic ash that was once exposed to seawater, at which point it absorbed various minerals, making it a super nurturer and booster for the skin. This natural clay’s adsorbent power nurtures acne breakouts and oily-ness, while balancing the natural pH of skin.

Liquorice Root Powder

Liquorice root powder contains a compound known as glycyrrhizin, which has anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. It is used to nurture eczema and acne. Lightening dark spots and hyperpigmentation, caring and evening the skin-tone.

Neem Leaf

The Neem tree is highly valued in traditional herbal medicine, as all parts of the plant from root to flower, can be used. Made from dried Neem leaves, which is sourced in Ghana, West Africa. It is an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal powder with cleansing and purifying properties that restore balance to the pH of the skin. It nurtures eczema and psoriasis. 

Baobab Powder

From the fruit of the Baobab tree, which has been revered throughout Africa as “the Tree of Life”. This powder is a skin hydrator and gentle cleanser. Baobab powder dries in the pod and requires minimal processing. It is considered a raw ingredient, this is as pure as it gets! The high vitamin C content helps increase collagen and elastin production which nurtures the changes, cycles and life of skin.

 

Ritual

Place nuna Earth Powder in your palm or a small ceramic bowl, depending on how much you need, gently add water, lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and combine to create a thick paste. Use the Earth powder paste as a face mask, an underarm detox or apply to itchy and irritated skin from plant poison or animal stings and bites. You can also spoon our Earth Powder directly into a warm bath and soak into the dreamy, milky and alchemising nutrients. Hydrate and protect  your cleansed skin with nuna Body Butter afterwards. Raw Earth Powder can be applied as is to itchy and irritated skin from plant poison or animal stings and bites.
