Description
This is a strong and deeply grounding Rappé, offering a powerful connection to the Earth. It activates the first and second chakras, creating a pathway to the spiritual heart — a medicine that gently brings us back to Earth for healing.
This Rappé is blended with the trunk ashes of the wild Cacao Tree (Theobroma Cacao), which grows naturally near riverbanks in the Amazon Jungle. The blend often has a reddish tinge and is made with a combination of native Sabiá and Mói Mapacho.
Theobroma cacao is the scientific name of the cacao tree, native to the Amazon basin before spreading throughout the Americas and eventually around the world. The genus name comes from Greek, meaning “food of the gods.” Theobromine, an alkaloid found in cacao, is a vasodilator, diuretic, and heart stimulant.
Wild Cacau is a powerful blend that, in the right set and setting, offers a boost of strength, courage, resilience, and endurance. The medicine is grounding, which allows the heart to open. It can be deeply cleansing, helping us release unwanted stored emotions, though it may initially invoke purging. This is a strong blend that requires patience and supports the release of negative energies from the lower chakras.
It is a wonderful complement to a cacao ceremony or any ceremony where a deep, earthy connection is sought.
Suggested Use
Use in a quiet, grounded setting with respect for the tradition. Begin with a very small amount, especially if you are new or sensitive to tobacco. Sit upright, set an intention, and use a kuripe for self-application or receive from an experienced server using a tepi. Apply gently and remain seated for a few minutes while the body settles. Contains tobacco and nicotine unless clearly marked tobacco-free. Avoid during pregnancy, with heart or blood pressure concerns, nicotine sensitivity, or when using alcohol or other intoxicants.
