Tradional Chinese Medicine

TCM for short. A complete medical system that has been used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses for more than 2,000 years. TCM is based on a principles of yin and yang, and the Chinese philosophy of the synergies between Nature (Tao) and human ☯️

We've carefully selected 5 of our favourite Chinese Taoist herbal medicines. All of them are organic, high potency extract powders.

🌸 Rhodiola is an adaptogenic herb that reduces fatigue and helps with anxiety, depression, and headaches. It stimulates serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine activity.

🌺 Rehmannia, also known as Chinese foxglove, is a nourishing herb that balances Yin, strengthens the body, and supports the liver and kidneys.

🌿 He Shou Wu, also known as Fo-Ti, is an herb that replenishes Jing, enhances longevity, and supports reproductive health. It is also a tonic for the liver and kidney

⚡Tongkat Ali boosts vitality, increases testosterone, and enhances athletic performance and libido.

Our new Matcha range is sourced from growers in Kagoshima, located in tropical of southern Japan. Here the green tea is grown using traditional methods, organically and fairly.

We have 2 varaties, both with their own unique offerings:

🌙 Our ceremonial grade matcha powder is made of the youngest tea leaves that have higher concentrations of chlorophyll. It is prepared in accordance with traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, called chanoy.

🍵 Our roasted matcha powder ("Hojicha") undergoes carefully monitored roasting, which preserves its health benefits while reducing bitterness and caffeine. Hojicha, with its warm aroma (almost similar to coffee) favored by caffeine-sensitive individuals that still enjoy the pick-me-up qualities of matcha.

Monk fruit powder is a natural sweetener derived from a small, green fruit native to South East Asia. It's prized for it's unique sweet taste, yet low in calories, and not impacting blood sugar levels, making it a great sugar substitute.

Our Kratom capsules contain our popular organic Ugandan kratom tree powder. Kratom can be a good alternative as a natural pain-reliever, due to certain alkaloids present in the leaves, which interact with opioid receptors in the brain, similar to opioids but with different mechanisms. As with many powerful plants, Kratom should be used with care and moderation.

Soft Closing Dates for 2023/2024

As we begin winding down for the year, allowing rest and reflection before a new solar cycle, we'll be soft closing between:

14th December till the 14th of January

Whilst we'll still be accepting orders during this time, our packing team may take an extra few days to pack your order and send it out. Depending on availability of our fulfilment & delivery team, your order may take a week or so to be sent out. Our customer service and stock procurment will also be slow during this time, so please be patient with us and order your supplies sooner rather than later

Closing Words

This year has been another major milestone. Our year started with the big Cosmic Bazaar relaunch, unveiling a new look after almost 6 years since our birth.

If Cosmic Bazaar was a child, we would have started grade 1 this year. It sure feels like it with all the growing pains and real life lessons.

Under the scenes, like many of us, we've been going through tremendous challenges.

To run a profitable business, to keep our ethos at the core of what we do, to be kind and helpful to our collegues and friends... These are some of the realities we've faced this year.

Sometimes it seemed like there was no hope, that this year would be Cosmic's last, or that there was no way to balance our delicate cash flow with ongoing price hikes. But we've once again made it around the sun, another cycle almost complete. We made it, and we got through what seemed like impossible at the time.

We figured out that we launched over 30 new products this year... Absolutely incredible for a small business like ours.
We've sent out almost 4000 parcels from our depot, and had well over 100,000 views on our website.
All whilst providing a fair, living salary to over 10 staff.

We should all be proud of our accomplishments this year, knowing that we've each faced challenges, that in the moment, we may have thought we'd never get through. Now here we are, on the other side of them. There will be many more over the horizon, but may we have the wisdom and confidence to overcome them, knowing we've done it before.

2024, another year for us to embrace with uncertainty, yet comfort and optimism for whatever lies ahead.

Let us be grateful for the path and journey we're each on, and may we be kind and loving to all around us.
