Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is well known through the ages as having one of the hghest protein contents available. Alfafa sprouts have a higher protein content than steak! The Roman army was fed alfalfa when they went to war.

Besides being high in protein, alfalfa is packed full of a wide range of vitamins and minerals that are easily assimilated into your body. These are one of the top 3 sprouts that are grown commercially, and those little punnets have less than ½ a teaspoon of seed. Sprouting your own just makes sense.

Simple to sprout, they will be ready to start eating in 5-7 days. Eat them raw as a garnish a full ingredient or just drop them into your meal just before serving.
