Sceletium is one of the most usable and functional herbs for mental and emotional wellness that exists in the world today. Sceletium tortuosum (also known as Kanna or Kougoed) is a succulent plant native to Southern Africa. It is often found covering the ground, in the shade of larger bushes. This remarkable and sacred plant has been used by the Khoikhoi for hundreds of years. Traditionally the plant was dried and chewed (hence the name Kougoed, meaning “chewing stuff”) or smoked. It was often smoked in ceremony and mixed with a variety of other different herbs. In recent years, it has been made into capsules, oils, teas, as well as full or partial alkaloid extracts.

Emotional Wellness: Sceletium integrates and meditates the mind, body and emotions, helping to put you in calm, clear and relaxed state. I have been using it on and off for about 3 years now and it is excellent. I have tried capsules from pharmacies, and the quality is not the same, as this high potency extract, and in this form gives me the power to micro dose according to daily requirements.

Sceletium is a subtle yet powerful medicine that can aid in coping with anxiety and depression. It is gentle at lower doses, creating space within which you can handle life with more grace, and at higher doses it can be heart opening and empathogenic. It has improved my life in many noticeable ways and I feel immense gratitude to it. The most common and widely available form is raw plant material (also sold here). This works well enough but can cause nausea at higher doses. This extract is far more effective as it eliminates this issue and the experience is smoother. Dosing is a challenge since it's highly concentrated and easy to take too much by accident, but start small and gradually increase the dose until you find what works for you. The elixir (also sold here) provides a similar refined experience and is easier to dose.
